It’s an out patient surgery, sometimes it’s
a lengthy procedure that could take from 2
to 6 hours, depending on the amount and
volume of hair to be implanted. The patient
should understand that it will take about 3
weeks for the new hair to grow, and that 10
to 15% of the implants are lost. The donor
zone is usually in the back part of the
head, from which stitches will have to be
removed after 7 days of the intervention.
Frequently, depending how severe the
baldness is, more than one intervention is
necessary, with in 2 or 3 months.
