Abstract
Guillain Barré Syndrome is a neurological disease frequently
admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, especially if there is
associated hemodynamic or ventilatory compromise. Brain death is
the irreversible cessation of all functions of Central Nervous
System, and rarely, Guillain Barré Syndrome can mimick it, with
subsequent recovery in the next few days or weeks. We report a
case admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, with this type of
evolution.
