This is a sexually transmitted disease. They appear as small growths on the genital area. It has an incubation period ranging from four to six weeks to several months.

Genital wart or condyloma is the name given to the human papilloma virus. Pregnant women are more likely to develop this virus that are not pregnant, with that virus growth is fastest during the last quarter and tend to subside spontaneously after delivery.

Genital areas that are most affected are the cervix, vagina, vulva and anus. In the vagina and external anogenital skin, human papilloma virus, developed large lesions that can be joined together, forming a cluster that can potentially affect a large area of the female genital tract.

The presence of genital warts can sometimes grow large enough to cause significant discomfort including intense itching, infection and bleeding caused by bacteria accumulated between the warts, these warts can grow so large that take the appearance of a cauliflower.

It should consider the totality of the genitals, from the cervix to the outside skin of the anus. Furthermore, we must take into account the possibility of the presence of other sexually transmitted diseases and conduct appropriate studies to rule them out.

During treatment, patients should keep their genitals clean and dry and not having sex unless the couple use a condom or condom.

Treatment can be performed with podophyllin 20 to 25%, electrosurgical destruction or laser vaporization.
